Senior Scam Stopper Workshop

The U.S. Department of Justice reports that seniors lose $3 billion to scammers every year. I am committed to keeping our communities safe for everyone, including protecting our senior residents from  scams. According to senior scams statistics compiled by the American Journal of Public Health, about 5% of seniors become victims of fraudulent schemes every year. While these statistics are startling, the true number is believed to be much higher, because it is estimated that 85% of cybercrime and cyberfraud go unreported.

With that in mind, I invite you to join us on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, for a free Senior Cyber Scam Stoppers Workshop, in partnership with the Contra Costa District Attorney's Office and the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department. This will be a great opportunity to learn tips on how to protect yourself and your personal information from scams perpetrated online, via text, or via phone.

Date: Wednesday, November 3, 2021
Time: 1 to 2 p.m.

This workshop will be delivered via Zoom with an option to dial in by phone to listen. Please share this information with your friends and family.
